OAO “RT-Biotechprom” the daughter of “Rostechnologia” state corporation  plants to finish by  autumn  2010 the erection of the plant producing fuel pellets in city of Onega, Archangelsk region. Columbia, international conference discussing biofuel

The subject of this agricultural forum  is the study of  agronomic experience in growing  trees  delivering palm oil and discussion on the problems connected with  maintaining the required environmental conditions.

To grow palms, Columbia  occupies  350 000 ha, which were former used to  grow other cultures or to raise cattle. Columbia is second to Brasilia in growing palms and is going to expand palm plantation  up to 3 mln ha   “without violating the bounders of the traditional agriculture”.
