5th International Research-to-Practice Conference "Food and Marine Biotechnology" is a continuation of the previous four conferences held in Kaliningrad in 2004 and 2011 under the auspices of the Russian Society of Biotechnologist.

The Meeting of the Federal Educational and Methodical Association (FUMO)

May 25, 2016.

On May 25, 2016 Kaliningrad State Technical University (KSTU) hosted a Meeting of the Federal Educational and Methodical Association (FUMO) in the field of higher education on the enlarged Group of specialties and directions of training No 19.00.00 "Industrial Ecology and Biotechnology", Department (subspecialty) "Food Technology and Biotechnology" 

The main topics of the Meeting:

-      Discussion of the organization of a Professional Community in Food Biotechnology;

-      Establishing appropriate Scientific and Methodological Councils by areas of activity;

-      Organization of Expert Groups;

-      Discussion of the Department Work Plan (Road Map), prospects of developing proposals to the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation on Federal State Educational Standards for higher education, Professional Standards;

-      Developing a mechanism to expertise the quality of the educational literature, including issue of a report with recommendations for publication, and other issues.
